Candy Cane

Ingredients

2 oz. of vanilla or berry vodka 1 oz. of white crème de cacao 2 long candy canes ½ oz. of grenadine syrup 1 oz. of peppermint schnapps Corn syrup ½ oz. of white crème de menthe 3 oz. of half-and-half 1 small candy cane, for garnishing

Tools

1 martini glass 1 cocktail shaker 1 ice spade 1 mortar and pestle 1 jigger 1 cocktail strainer

Mixing Method

  1. Break up two candy canes into small pieces and then throw them into a mortar. After that, take the pestle and grind up the pieces of candy canes with that, until you get a semi-fine powder of candy cane. Once done, take a martini glass and coat its rim with some corn syrup. Then invert the glass and dip it into the crushed candy cane powder.

  2. Once done, set aside the glass and then take a cocktail shaker and a jigger. Place the cocktail shaker on your counter and then drop some ice cubes into it. After that, take the jigger and measure out 2 oz. of vanilla vodka with it. Once measured, pour the vodka into the cocktail shaker over the ice cubes and then add peppermint schnapps, white crème de cacao and the white crème de menthe to that.

  3. Now put the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake that up to mix the concoction thoroughly. Mix until the cocktail shaker turns chilled from outside. Once done, open the lid of the cocktail shaker and add the required amounts of half-and-half to it. Swirl the cocktail shaker to mix-in the half-and-half and then set it aside.

  4. After that, take the cocktail glass and drizzle the grenadine syrup into it. Once done, place a cocktail strainer over the cocktail shaker and then pour the prepared drink right into the glass. Finally, hang a small candy cane on the rim of the glass to garnish the drink. Serve the drink right away and enjoy.

Poinsettia Cocktail

Ingredients

1 oz. of triple sec 3 oz. of cranberry juice 1 twist of lemon, for garnishing 3 oz. of champagne

Tools

1 fluted champagne glass 1 jigger 1 twist knife 1 cocktail stirrer

Mixing Method

  1. Take a fluted champagne glass and a jigger. Use the jigger to measure 3 oz. of cranberry juice. Pour the cranberry juice into the champagne glass after you measure it with the jigger and follow that by adding the triple sec. Once done, give a light stir to the mixture with the help of a cocktail stirrer and then take the champagne bottle. Place the bottle on your counter and then tear off the wrapper from it.

  2. Then place one of your hands over the cork of the bottle to prevent it from shooting out. Twist the key of the bottle and then slowly remove the cork. Once done, build the drink by filling up the empty portion of the glass with the champagne. Once everything is done, take an orange and peel off a thin strip of orange peel from it. Twist the peel slightly with your hands and then drop it into the glass to garnish the drink.
