7 Recipes Of Alcoholic Mix Drinks

Mix drinks are so named because they are prepared by mixing two or more ingredients. Mix drinks can be prepared either with an alcoholic base drink or without any alcohol. And depending on their nature, mix drinks are classified either into alcoholic or non alcoholic mix drinks. Alcoholic mix drinks are normally termed as cocktails and some of the most popular cocktail recipes are listed in this article so that you can easily serve them at the comfort if your own home.

Sex On The Beach

Ingredients Required

1 oz. + 1/2 oz. of Vodka 2 oz. of cranberry juice 1/2 oz. of peach schnapps 2 oz. of orange juice

Preparation

Fill up a highball glass with some ice cubes and then pour the Vodka slowly in it. Add the peach schnapps to the Vodka and then fill up the rest of the glass with the orange juice and the cranberry juice. Once filled almost upto the rim, stir the mixture with a stirrer and serve immediately.

Blue Lagoon

Ingredients Required

1 oz. of Vodka 1 fresh maraschino cherry Lemonade 1 oz. of blue Curacao liqueur

Preparation

Slowly pour the Vodka in a highball glass filled with ice cubes and then add the blue Curacao liqueur to the Vodka. Once added, fill up the glass entirely with the lemonade and then stir the mixture until all of the ingredients are nicely combined. Then serve the drink right away with a fresh maraschino cherry on top.

Acapulco

Ingredients Required

1 oz. + 1/2 oz. of light rum 1 teaspoon of white granulated sugar 1 teaspoon + 1/2 teaspoon of triple sec Fresh mint leaves 2 teaspoons of lime juice 1 egg

Preparation

Put 2-3 ice cubes into a shaker and then pour the Rum, lime juice and the triple sec into the same shaker. Then break up the egg in half and empty its content into the shaker. Finally, add the sugar and then cover up the shaker tightly with a lid.

Once all the ingredients are added, shake them up vigorously until well combined and then strain the mixture directly into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Finally, add the mint leaves to the drink before serving it.

French Martini

Ingredients Required

1/2 oz. of raspberry liqueur A dash of lemon peel 3 oz. of Vodka 1/2 oz. of freshly extracted pineapple juice

Preparation

Pop a martini or cocktail glass into the refrigerator and let it remain there until it becomes chilled. In the meantime, extract out 1/2 oz. worth of fresh pineapple juice.

Then take a shaker and throw some ice cubes in it. Pour the raspberry liqueur, a dash of lemon peel, fresh pineapple juice and the Vodka into the shaker and then shake the mixture until all of the added ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Once done, pour the drink into the chilled glass and serve right away.

Red Death

Ingredients Required

1 oz. of Amaretto almond liqueur 1 oz. of Vodka 1 oz. of sloe gin 1 oz. of peach liqueur 1 oz. of freshly extracted lime juice 1 oz. of triple sec Fresh orange juice

Preparation

Cut up a fresh lime in half and then deseed it. Then extract out 1 oz. of juice from it. Prepare a Collins glass by filling it up with some ice cubes. Then pour the triple sec, Vodka, almond liqueur, peach liqueur, freshly extracted lime juice and the sloe grin into the glass.

Stir the mixture with a stirrir and then pour the orange juice to fill up the glass entirely upto the rim. Stir the drink once again to combine the orange juice with the other ingredients and then serve.

Washington Apple Cocktail

Ingredients Required

2 oz. of Canadian whisky 2 oz. of cranberry juice 1 fresh apple slice, for garnishing 2 oz. of sour apple pucker schnapps

Preparation

Fill up a highball glass with 4-5 ice cubes and then slowly trickle down the sour apple pucker schnapps and the Canadian whisky into the glass. Stir the drink to combine the ingredients and then serve it with a slice of fresh apple.

Midori Sour

Ingredients Required

2 oz. of Midori melon liqueur 4 oz. of Sprite 2 oz. of whisky sour mix 2 fresh maraschino cherries

Preparation

Fill up a shaker with some ice cubes and then pour the whisky sour mix and the melon liqueur in it. Cover up the shaker tightly with lid and then shake the drink for a few seconds, until well combined.

Once done, strain and pour the drink into a highball glass filled with ice cubes and then pour the sprite to fill up the glass. Stir the drink once and then serve it with the maraschino cherries.
